  This project involves a three-story apartment building in Tokyo, partially occupied by housing units for the owner’s family. The design minimizes the building’s impact on the streetscape by incorporating stepped offsets, which also serve as semi-enclosed terraces for the tenants. The areas for the tenants and the owner’s family are separated both in plan and section, with the owner’s family retaining some of the original garden space at the southern end of the plot.

  このプロジェクトは、オーナー家族がその一部に住まう東京の3階建てアパートです。ステップ状にオフセットしたボリュームを用いることで通りへの圧迫感を軽減しつつ、テナントユニット用のテラスとしても機能します。テナントのエリアとオーナー家族エリアは、平面と断面の両方で分離されており、オーナー家族は元の土地にあった庭の一部を保つことができるように計画しています。
